I’m Stan Hudy a sportswriter with The Daily Gazette family of newspapers — The Daily Gazette, Amsterdam Recorder and Leader-Herald.

With a primary focus on high school sports, my scope has changed to include a daily routine of photography and videography.The non-dating profile: Married 30-plus years to the greatest gal who could ever put up with a guy like me, Reda. She’s a sports fan, a local sports fan, UAlbany alum and my biggest fan.

Children: Several generations of felines, many have passed over the rainbow bridge — currently, Wrigley, is the light of our four-legged lives.

Geography: Former Section IV kids. Reda graduated from Union-Endicott High School and myself, Hancock Central (yes, in New York, not the one in Mass.)

Reda was from one of the biggest schools in Section IV, myself, from one of the smallest.

My daily travels will take me from my home in Saratoga County, down to Schenectady County and then what is referred to as ‘Out West’ into Fulton and Montgomery County with an occassional swing into Schoharie County.

There will be more random thoughts than any pro insight here, my day is filled with local coverage, editing, photos, video and more.
